Climb Mountain
I have been climbing this mountain for who knows how long; I do it for Him every single step, but the rocks are still sharp. We climb this mountain that stands before me and traverse its craggy precipices together. He walks with me and I try to hear His voice tell me which way to turn, which path to take. He guides me and is there to comfort me when I trip and fall. The rocks are rough and sharp, they pierce my skin every time I am forced to drop to my knees. There are jumps to be made and cliff faces to shimmy up when I encounter them. Easy stretches and harder ones along the way each bring their own challenges and situations to overcome. I am told it is worth it for what lies on the other side and He truly never leaves my side, but I…Continue Reading
Uganda Landscape
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail. Isaiah 51:6 In this walk of life, perspective is the manna that sustains us through the desert. Our journey with Jesus never was promised to be perfect. If anything, He promised persecution, hatred from the world, and even foretold of Satan’s desire to “sift [us] like wheat” (Luke 22:31). Background Information Location: Lohne, Germany  Brian works with a ministry called Fascinate Transformation School. The first school was located in Taylors, South Carolina. He traveled with some of the Fascinate community to Germany to help run another school put on by a missionary friend. After a speaking engagement at a church in Germany, my friends and I  went out to a late dinner with some of our new friends. The eight of us sat down in Burger King. Shortly after, we couldn’t help but notice two young men, one of which was becoming rather aggressive and angry. He was slamming the table and yelling in German making quite the scene. These actions continued through the course of our dinner and towards the end he started crying and laid his face on the open contents of his cheeseburger. We heard his friend across the table tell him that he should see…Continue Reading
