INFO24’s first original video podcast creates space for Black couples to speak honestly about love, marriage, family, conflict, intimacy, and commitment.

Black love is often discussed from the outside.

It is measured through statistics, judged through stereotypes, sensationalized through celebrity conflict, and debated by people who rarely make room for Black couples to speak for themselves.

We hear plenty about what is supposedly wrong with Black relationships. We hear about divorce, broken homes, financial pressure, absent parents, and declining marriage rates. Too often, the conversation begins with dysfunction and ends with blame.

What we do not hear nearly enough are the voices of everyday Black couples.

Couples who laugh together. Struggle together. Raise children together. Disagree, forgive, rebuild, and continue choosing one another.

Uncorked & Married, a new video podcast and the first original production from INFO24, is creating space for those voices.

Executive produced by Angela Carr Patterson and produced by Crystal and Jarrod Hill, the podcast brings real married couples together for honest conversations about the experiences that shape relationships and families.

The concept is simple but powerful: pour the wine, ask the questions, and let couples speak openly about what it takes to build a life together.

There are no claims of perfection. No suggestion that marriage is always easy. No expectation that every couple will agree.

There are simply people speaking from lived experience.

More Than a Marriage Podcast

At first glance, Uncorked & Married may appear to be another relationship show. But its potential reaches much further.

Marriage touches nearly every area of life. It affects how couples communicate, manage money, raise children, respond to crisis, divide responsibilities, maintain intimacy, and create stability within their homes.

That does not mean marriage is the only foundation for strong Black families.

Black families have always taken many forms. They are led by married couples, single parents, grandparents, extended relatives, guardians, and chosen family members who step forward when love and responsibility call.

Strengthening Black families should never mean dismissing those realities.

But healthy marriages can be an important source of partnership, healing, stability, and intergenerational strength. When couples learn to communicate honestly, resolve conflict constructively, and support one another intentionally, the benefits often reach beyond the two people in the relationship.

Children are watching.

Friends are watching.

Communities are watching.

Every conversation about trust, money, intimacy, parenting, forgiveness, and commitment can give someone else the language to begin a conversation of their own.

Letting Black Couples Define Black Love

Media has enormous power over how communities are seen and how communities see themselves.

For generations, Black relationships have often been portrayed through extremes. We are shown either an idealized image of flawless love or a damaging picture of endless dysfunction.

Neither leaves much room for truth.

Real Black love can be joyful and complicated. It can be strong and still require work. It can include romance, irritation, laughter, grief, friendship, sacrifice, healing, and change.

That complexity deserves to be seen.

Black-owned media must document the full range of Black life. That includes politics and economic struggles, but it must also include relationships, families, humor, intimacy, tradition, healing, and joy.

Our stories should not appear only when there is a crisis.

Our families should not be discussed only as problems that someone else must solve.

And Black love should not become visible only when it is attached to celebrity, scandal, or tragedy.

Uncorked & Married gives Black couples the opportunity to define their own experiences in their own voices. That makes the podcast more than entertainment. It is also an act of narrative ownership.

INFO24’s First Original Production

As the first original production from INFO24, Uncorked & Married represents the beginning of a larger vision.

INFO24 is a multimedia production platform being developed to create culturally grounded, community-centered, and visually engaging programming. Its purpose is not simply to produce more content. It is to create programs that reflect the ideas, experiences, creativity, and conversations found within Black and minority communities.

Uncorked & Married will live on New Awaken Magazine, where audiences will be able to find and follow the video podcast.

The production also represents an open door.

INFO24 is looking for creators, hosts, producers, experts, storytellers, and community voices with original show ideas who are interested in collaboration. Those ideas may include video podcasts, interview shows, cultural conversations, business programs, political discussions, lifestyle content, documentaries, or other concepts that deserve development and a larger platform.

Some people may already have a complete show idea. Others may only have a strong concept, a unique perspective, or a community they want to reach.

INFO24 wants to help turn those ideas into meaningful productions.

The future of Black media cannot depend only on reporting what has already happened. We must also create, produce, and build platforms that allow our communities to define themselves on their own terms.

Uncorked & Married is the first step in that direction.

The wine is the hook. The couples provide the personality. But the long-term value is the creation of a trusted space where Black love is neither romanticized nor pathologized. It is allowed to speak honestly for itself.
